Rome in a Day
Boca Della Verita
After my morning tour of Vatican City, I caught a cab to Boca Della Verita to stick my hand in the mouth that was made famous by the 1953 movie “Roman Holiday” starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.

Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius
From there I took a short walk to “Replica of the Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius.” I’ve become a fan of his Stoicism.
Then I proceeded to the Colosseum for my 3:00 p.m. entry ticket. I had not eaten yet, so I was fortunate to find a fast pizza place “Bottega67” before entering the Colosseum.

The Colosseum was bigger than I had expected from photos.
Pack to Fly Home
Then it was back in the hotel room checking into my flight home and getting ready. I packed a fleece, raincoat and umbrella. But the entire trip had perfect weather and didn’t need any of them.
